The recently appointed Mayor of Maputo, Rasaque Manhique, has appointed seven new councillors in a joint order.

These are Armindo dos Santos for the position of Councillor for Planning and Finance; Idálio Juvane, for the position of Councillor for Planning, Territorial Planning; Fernando Vache, for the position of Councillor for Mobility, Transport and Traffic; Alexandre Xavier Muianga, for the position of Councillor for Economic Activities and Tourism; Rui de Carvalho, as Councillor for Internal Administration and Human Resources; Alice Pedro Magaia de Abreu, as Councillor for Health and Quality of Life; and Nércio Marcos Duvane, as Councillor for Youth and Knowledge Creation.

According to the communiqué to which MZNews has had access, in another order Rasaque Manhique appointed administrators for the seven municipal districts of the country's capital, namely Samuel Manuel Modumela, to the post of Administrator of the Kampfumo Municipal District; Isilda Maria Zandamela, to the post of Administrator of the Nlhamankulu Municipal District; Maria Mariana Nhaca, for the post of KaMaxakeni Municipal District Administrator; Lomelino Mário Matusse, for the post of KaMavota Municipal Administrator; Rui Sebastião Matusse, for the post of KaMubukwana Municipal Administrator; Celso Simão Fulano, for the post of KaTembe Municipal Administrator; and Benedito Silveira, for the post of KaNyaka Municipal District Administrator.
