New WhatsApp option lets you use the app on four different devices

Whatsapp has launched a new feature that allows you to simultaneously use the same account on the app on four different devices, even if some of them are disconnected from the Internet or are not charged.

The new feature entered the testing phase in July this year, and its Beta version was made available for users most interested in trying it out. It is now being rolled out to the desktop version of WhatsApp as well as on Android and iOS.

For the app to work regardless of the circumstance, - being connected to a network or having a charge - it must be in the current version and open on the connected device. In other words, with this feature you will be able to connect to WhastApp via your desktop even if your cell phone is dead.

Some restrictions

You can use up to four devices without the phone having to be connected to the Internet.

You cannot make calls or send messages from the web, portal or desktop for users who have an older version of WhatsApp on their phone.

Paired devices lose their pairing after 14 days of no connection.

On the other hand, some WhatsApp features are not yet compatible with other devices. For example, you cannot delete conversations on all devices at the same time and iPads currently do not have access to the new features.
