Niassa province has just received more than a thousand doses of cholera vaccine, the campaign for which will run from the 27th of this month to March 13th in five border districts of the province.
These are the districts of Lichinga, Lago, Mandimba, Sanga, Chimbonila and Mecanhelas, which border Malawi and Tanzania.
To guarantee the logistics of this cholera vaccination campaign, the health sector has more than twenty million meticais available for the rental of vehicles, motorcycles and five boats.
The director of the Niassa Provincial Health Service, José Manuel, who provided the information on Tuesday, said that mobile and fixed brigades had been set up, made up of vaccinators, observers and registrars.
Speaking to Radio Mozambique, José Manuel called for continued observance of basic individual and collective hygiene.
