Sesame growers raised more than 70 million Meticais in the 2021-2022 agricultural marketing campaign, Mavago district administrator Abdul Cadre Momade told RM.

According to the source, the money is being used, among other things, to improve their homes and buy means of transportation.

Figures from the source indicate that in the last agricultural campaign, around two and a half thousand producers were involved in sesame cultivation in Mavago, in Niassa province.
