Politician Venâncio Mondlane said in an interview that he had no regrets about calling for post-election demonstrations to restore electoral truth.
According to the former presidential candidate, although he didn't become a tenant of Ponta Vermelha through the protests, the gains for the people "are immeasurable".
He pointed to the idea that, for the first time in the country's history, people from different social classes had united for the same cause and given meaning to the expression 'National Unity'.
He also said that it was for the first time that the meaning of the expression Pan-Africanism was manifested in people.
"Another issue was the return of politics to the people. Today, the civic and political culture is completely different," he said, stressing that people have taken ownership of the names of public institutions and the state, as well as their rights over them.
"There are several issues, and I think that future generations will gain a lot," he said.
"The most important thing is what everyone says: Mozambique will never be the same," he said in an interview with MIRAMAR.
