The Ribáuè district attorney's office in Nampula is already investigating the causes and circumstances that led to the setting up of a clandestine electoral registration office in one of the areas of that region last week.

"The people who committed the offenses were identified in a normal investigation. As you know, the pre-trial phase is secret, we can't give too many details because it's an investigation phase to really find out how it happened, what the implications are and the people involved," said the district prosecutor, Aires Bone, quoted by RM.

The source also said that the perpetrators have not been arrested, but that the case is already before the competent authorities.
