Nampula: Mais de 60 naparamas renderam-se em Mutuali após a captura do suposto líder

A total of 63 naparamas surrendered and handed themselves in to the government authorities at the headquarters of the Mutuali administrative post, in Malema district, Nampula province. The surrender comes days after the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) arrested the group's alleged leader.

According to a publication on the IkweliThe 63 naparamas gave themselves up on Monday (28) in the presence of the governor of Nampula, Eduardo Abdula. On the occasion, the representative of the naparamas did not hide the group's regret, apologizing for the innocent people they had hurt.

"On behalf of the citizens who were involved in the riots, we want to apologize. Out of nervousness and anger at a lack of control, some ended up resorting to inappropriate means that brought more pain to our community," the group appealed.

For his part, Governor Abdula questioned whether the regret was genuine and that they had not been forced, stressing the need for security to guarantee the entry of investors.

"Those who come to invest need to be sure of their safety. People don't want to come to Mutuali because they say there are naparamas here," he said.
