Nampula: World Bank disburses 65 million meticais for road rehabilitation

The World Bank is disbursing 65 million meticais for routine maintenance work on some access roads linking the agricultural and fishing production areas of the Mogincual district in Nampula.

The information was given to Rádio Moçambique by the director of the Mogincual District Planning and Infrastructure Service, Agostinho José.

The roads are 65 kilometers long and, according to the source, the work includes the construction of bridges and pontoons, aqueducts and drainage systems.

José also said that, in addition to this activity, the access roads from the Quixaxe Administrative Post to Namige are being rehabilitated by a Chinese contractor.

The work will ensure that the roads are passable at all times of the year and allow agricultural and fishing products to flow quickly in and out of the Mogincual district.
