The transport company Nagi Investimentos was forced to stop operating after two of its buses were set on fire by demonstrators.
In a statement to "O País", the company says it will only resume its activities as soon as peace and tranquillity are restored in the country.
Nagi Investimentos operates on different routes, but about a week ago it stopped its activities because two buses were burned to the ground by people contesting the results of the general elections.
"The problem is getting to be too much and yet we are trying to get out of those more dangerous areas, we are trying to negotiate with the demonstrators. We've had two cars burnt (...) but we're working to manage the situation," Arone Mucha, a NAGI official, was quoted as saying in the publication.
Another passenger transport company, Space Liners, which operates on the Maputo-Tete, Tete-Beira and Tete-Chimoio routes, has stopped its buses for fear that they will be vandalized.
