Since 9:00 pm on Monday, the circulation of trains has been re-established on the Nacala-Cuamba section.
Initially, only coal and general freight trains will run.
According to a statement from Nacala Logistics, the Nampula-Cuamba passenger train will be able to start running again as of next Saturday, February 19th.
It should be noted that the line had been interrupted since Saturday, February 12, due to an accident in the district of Malema, Nampula province, involving a coal train and a truck. The accident caused minor injuries to the truck driver and derailment of the train.
