The city of Nacala-Porto, in the province of Nampula, is hosting the second conference on marine biodiversity in the country from today, June 17, until June 24.
The event, which brings together around 200 participants, including members of the government, environmentalists, researchers, the private sector, civil society and members of the local community, is organized by the Ministry of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries and partners and will discuss various biodiversity issues
The first marine biodiversity conference took place in 2023 in Maputo.
