The Municipality of Maputo, in coordination with partners, has rehabilitated the police station and improved the conditions of the Zimpeto bus terminal, which were vandalized during the post-election demonstrations.
The police station, which was damaged during the protests, has been rehabilitated with a new roof and other interventions to ensure its functioning.
According to a TV MiramarThe public lighting has been restored and one of the terminal's main gates has been reopened, making it easier for buses to circulate and reducing congestion.
However, despite the progress, motorists are calling for better organization of the informal trade in the area, where vendors and pedestrians continue to share space with vehicles, making mobility difficult and putting road safety at risk.
