Maputo City Council is banning people from exercising in the Tunduru garden, a public space reserved for leisure in Maputo city.

Through notices posted in the garden itself, the City Council also prohibits people from bringing animals, riding bicycles, smoking in the garden and trampling the grass, among other things.

The Tunduru garden is one of the leisure sites that has attracted many people from the city of Maputo and beyond, as it provides a pleasant and peaceful environment for relaxation, meditation and other activities.

Given its beauty, at weekends it has served as a real "stage" for photographs of various events, especially weddings, baptisms, among others.
