The countdown to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has begun. The FIFA tournament kicks off on November 20th and runs until December 18th, bringing 64 exciting matches that in Mozambique will be broadcast live and exclusive through the only two sportsbooks in the country: DStv and GOtv.

MultiChoice Mozambique's two platforms will be at every moment of this world championship and will share it in detail with Mozambican viewers through their Supersport channels.

The General Manager of MultiChoice Mozambique, Agnelo Laíce, underlines the enthusiasm of his team in bringing the FIFA World Cup to Mozambicans and everyone in the country.

The various Supersport channels will be renamed especially to bring the best coverage of the greatest sports tournament in history.

On DStv, SuperSport Football Plus (available in the DStv Grande package and above) will become central to the FIFA World Cup, becoming 24 hours a day focused on the tournament and providing live coverage of 56 matches, with full in-studio previews and reviews as well as magazine summaries of the show.

The SuperSport Premier League (available from the DStv Grande package) will become the FIFA World Cup, with 24 hours of live coverage of 56 matches with commentary in Portuguese.

SuperSport La Liga (available from the DStv Fácil package) will become FIFA World Cup Select 1, with 24 hours of broadcasting and 30 live matches, including those of all participating African teams, namely Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia, plus eight simultaneous matches, replays and match highlights.

SuperSport Variety 1 (available from the Easy DStv package) will become FIFA World Cup Select 2, also with 24 hours of broadcasting and with 30 live matches, including those of the African teams, eight simultaneous matches, and replays and summary of the matches.

SuperSport Football (available from the Easy DStv package) will become the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone, a 24-hour channel dedicated to fan coverage and reaction, news, press conferences and all the excitement experienced by those who follow every second of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In addition, SuperSport Blitz (available from the Easy DStv package) will provide match news, previews, breaking news and interviews from Qatar 2022 as part of its usual role of being your one-stop shop for the latest and greatest sports information from around the world.

On the GOtv side, SuperSport GOtv Football (available from the GOtv Plus package) will become FIFA World Cup Select 2, a 24-hour channel with 30 live matches, with all of the African teams, eight simultaneous matches, replays, shows and magazines.

SuperSport GOtv La Liga (available in the GOtv Supa package) will become FIFA World Cup Central, a 24-hour channel focused on the tournament, providing live coverage of 56 games with full studio presentation, previews and reviews, as well as the summary in direct magazines.

SuperSport GOtv Select 1 (available in the GOtv Supa package) will become FIFA World Cup Africa, a 24-hour channel providing live coverage of 56 matches with Portuguese commentary.

There will also be a Pop-Up channel, FIFA World Cup Fan Zone (available from the GOtv Lite package), a 24-hour channel dedicated to fan coverage and reaction, news, press conferences and all the excitement experienced by those following every second of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In addition, SuperSport Blitz (available from the GOtv Lite package) will provide match reports, previews, breaking news and interviews from Qatar 2022 as part of its usual role of being your one-stop shop for the latest and greatest sports information from around the world.

In terms of language options, the Máximo channels will provide the option of English or Portuguese.

SuperSport Maximum 1 and 2 will feature 56 lifetime matches, with simultaneous kickoff matches broadcast on SuperSport Maximum 3. SuperSport Maximum 360 will serve as a dedicated 24-hour on 24-hour fan channel.

SuperSport Liyu (available from the DStv Family package) will feature 30 live matches, with full commentary by Ethiopia's Amharic/Oromifa.
