The President of the Technical Commission for Inclusive National Dialogue (COTE), Edson da Graça Macuácua, this Thursday (19) assured women from national civil society organizations of the effective participation of women in the process of national dialogue in Mozambique.
Speaking during the round table on "building bridges to strengthen women's participation in the Inclusive National Dialogue", Macuácua explained that the commission will be open to welcoming any initiative from women's civil society organizations and will respond positively to invitations to participate, ensuring that women are an important and active part of the dialogue.
She stressed the importance of women's participation, "not only because women make up the majority of the Mozambican population, but also because they have specific and acute sensitivities on various issues, which can enrich the process of dialogue with valuable experiences and advice".
She therefore actively encouraged women to submit their applications to join the three vacancies on the technical committee representing civil society.
