Women, management positions are baggage you don't carry into the home

Today, women are gaining prominence in the job market and even occupying management positions. In fact, as Newswomen tend to show their full value in the jobs they get.

Despite this, Lídia Gulele, from the Women's Forum, believes that the commanding attitude of some women in the workplace should not be carried over to their homes. For her, the different social roles of women must be clearly distinguished.

"We are driven by cultures and women have been brought up to be submissive," she said, quoted by the newspaper, warning that human rights are universal and not a weapon of war against men.

She also said that many women become selfish after rising to positions of prominence and lose consideration for other people.

Carolina Guiliche, who has held senior positions at Cervejas de Moçambique since joining the company 15 years ago, said that work and home should be separate.

"The principle should be: work on the one hand and home on the other, without ever making a fuss," he said.
