The young man shot by the Mozambique Republic Police (PRM) on Monday afternoon (21) in Maputo, following demonstrations against electoral fraud and the murder of lawyer Elvino Dias and Podemos spokesman Paulo Guambe, has died.
After shooting him, the police carried his body and deposited it in the General Hospital's emergency room
of Mavalane, where he was pronounced dead.
The young man was shot as he was leaving his house in the direction of the road. His relatives say that he was not demonstrating and had been at home all day. Channel Success TVHis wife said that they had had two meals together before he went out.
Officially, the death has not yet been confirmed.
The young man was identified as Jacinto Ernesto, and his mother-in-law told the channel STV that the family was contacted by the National Criminal Investigation Service. SERNIC went to inform them that the victim had been admitted to a hospital.
