Mozambique to introduce SIRCEV, an institutional sharing system for IR data

Moçambique vai introduzir o SIRCEV, um sistema de partilha institucional de dados de B.I

The World Bank is financing the introduction of a Computerized Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System (SIRCEV) that will allow the sharing of identity card (ID) data in real time between the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior.

However, as the NewsThe interoperability project between the institutions will operate independently. For the time being, the system is being prepared to enter a testing phase, and should work closely with the Civil Identification System.

After the testing phase, the database will be updated at the Ministry of Justice, with the citizen's current address submitted to the National Civil Identification Directorate, if it remains the same when the personal identification card is issued.

Among the advantages of SERCEV is the flexibility in issuing B.Is, since the citizen only needs to present an up-to-date birth certificate issued on paper by the Civil Registry, and the reduction in the issuing of documents with false data, because the B.Is will be issued directly from the Civil Registry's electronic platform.

With this, the Ministry of the Interior will be able to reduce its efforts to enter citizens' biographical data, since it will already be available in the Ministry of Justice's database.
