Of this 58% is the production of the northern region of the country in which Niassa and Cabo Delgado provinces will contribute more than 4 billion agricultural surplus.
The fact was announced this Saturday by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, in Cuamba at the launching ceremony of the ZEPA project - Special Agro-industrial Processing Zone of the Pemba-Lichinga Integrated Development Corridor.
Filipe Nyusi quoted by Radio Mozambique said that besides generating income for small producers through the commercialization of surpluses, the Project aims to guarantee an environment that can attract investments for agribusiness and processing.
The Project is financially supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB)
