Moçambique recebe 1,3 milhões de vacinas contra Covid-19 para imunização de adolescentes

Mozambique received this Thursday more than 1.3 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, to be given to children and adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age, starting on the 27th.

The first two batches of Pfizer's immunization were delivered yesterday in Maputo city to the Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago, by the Ambassador of the United States of America, Peter Vrooman, in the framework of the COVAX initiative.

Thus, Mozambique expects to receive, by September 13, three more batches of the vaccine, totaling 4,899,960 doses to ensure the implementation of the vaccination campaign.

Tiago said that the process, taking place all over the country, will be able to cover approximately 4.8 million children and adolescents in the target group with two doses of vaccine.
