Mozambique wants to strengthen cooperation with the UN Office for Projects

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, has expressed her desire to see the current cooperation framework between Mozambique and the United Nations Office for Project Services in Mozambique strengthened, according to a document quoted by RM.

According to the document, the priority is to strengthen the humanitarian areas, reconstruction and the peace process.

Yesterday, Verónica Macamo received letters of credence from the Representative of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Mozambique.

On the occasion, the government official praised the institution's support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with emphasis on the implementation of the Maputo Peace and Reconciliation Agreement.

She also highlighted the role that the United Nations Office for Project Services in Mozambique plays in the recovery and stabilization of northern Mozambique, recovery and reconstruction in the post-cyclone period and in the supply of health products.
