Mozambique wants to expose its agricultural potential at the extraordinary summit of the African Union

Mozambique wants to take advantage of the extraordinary summit of the African Union (AU) to showcase its potential, especially in agriculture, and attract investment to boost the national raw material processing industry.

The government recognizes that the extraordinary summit, which officially begins tomorrow, Friday, in Niamey, Niger, could be an opportunity for Mozambique to make new partnerships for agro-processing and reduce raw exports.

Technicians from Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs and Cooperation are taking part in preparatory meetings and the Mozambican delegation, led by the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, is focusing on investment issues in agro-processing.

The Mozambican delegation includes the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel José Gonçalves, and officials from various state institutions.

The Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, said that Mozambique did not want to leave the summit empty-handed.
