The African Union's Continental Forum on Medicines Registration elected Mozambique this week in Kenya as the body's rapporteur, and the country will be represented by the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (ANARME).
The election took place as part of the first forum of Africa's drug registration and marketing authorization directors, held between Wednesday and Thursday.
According to ANARME, quoted by the Mozambican Information Agency (AIM), the election represents a gain for Mozambique because it strengthens the mechanisms for recognizing continental scientific methodologies for the introduction of medicines on the national market.
Mozambique was represented at the Forum by the Directorate of the Evaluation of Medicines, Biological and Health Products Division at ANARME.
