The Mozambican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, will lead the 33rd Session of Political Dialogue between Mozambique and the European Union (EU) in Tete province on Thursday and Friday..
The meeting will be co-led by the EU ambassador to Mozambique, Antonino Maggiore.
According to a statement issued yesterday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the theme of the talks will be "An Open and Constructive Political Dialogue in the Context of New Challenges and Investment Opportunities", with a focus on bilateral cooperation as well as the international agenda.
"The program includes a business forum that will bring together entrepreneurs from Tete province and a visit to the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant (HCB)," the statement said.
The Political Dialogue between the member countries of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACP) and the EU is a political consultation mechanism carried out under the Cotonou Agreement, which governs the EU's partnership with 79 ACP countries.
