Mozambique and Russia are strengthening cooperation in various areas of development, including energy, geology, industry and trade, education and agriculture.
For this reason, agreements were signed by the two countries on Wednesday during the Mozambique-Russia Joint Commission in the country's capital.
Mozambique's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation was quoted by Rádio Moçambique as saying that cooperation with Russia would boost Mozambique's socio-economic development.
For his part, the head of the Russian delegation in Mozambique and head of the Federal Agency for Underground Resources Rosnedra, Yevgeny Petrov, said that the Russian government would continue to support Mozambique in implementing development programs.
