The Minister for the Sea, Inland Waterways and Fisheries and the Norwegian Minister for International Development signed an agreement on Tuesday aimed at promoting a sustainable ocean economy.
With the agreement signed, the two countries want to achieve a sustainable and inclusive ocean economy by strengthening research with integrated knowledge solutions.
The Minister of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso, was quoted by RM as saying that five Mozambican marine scientists will join the Norwegian team for a 45-day research project.
For her part, Norway's Minister for International Development, Anne Beathe, said that the oceans have enormous potential to improve food security and sustainable economic development in both countries.
