Mozambique seeks tourism and cultural cooperation at Expo Dubai

Mozambique showcases its artistic, cultural and tourism potential to attract foreign investors at the Dubai International Exhibition 2020 (Expo-Dubai) in the United Arab Emirates.

Mozambique's participation in the universal exhibition is headed by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, where the event is seen as an opportunity for the country to exhibit its artistic-cultural and tourist potentialities, "selling" the image of being a preferential destination for leisure and business.

In addition, the Mozambican delegation, seeks in this international event, to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations between the governments of Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates, in the fields of tourism and culture.

Mozambique's participation in the Universal Exposition is also seen as an opportunity for the country to show off its artistic, cultural, and tourist potential, "selling" the image of being a preferred destination for leisure and business.

"We intend to identify potential partners to 'explore' the national destination. One of our interests is to see agreements of intent entered into to secure investments for the country," said Eldevina Materula.

The Mozambican delegation in this event includes staff from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, representatives of the tourism department at the CTA, writer Paulina Chiziane, and musician Cheny Wa Guni.

For the Minister of Culture and Tourism, "the idea of the artists' presence is to help enchant visitors to the national pavilion and the public in general through the diversity of cultural expressions that make up the identity of the people.
