Mozambican workers are victims of "slavery" at the Chinese mining company Ding Sheng Minerals, which exploits heavy sands and other minerals in Chibuto, Gaza.

There are reports of mistreatment and oppression, while workers are forced to perform their duties without safety equipment. Wages are between eight and ten thousand meticais.

In Chibuto, the population continues to demand their rights, since the space where the mining company operates belongs to the local communities who have not been compensated for giving up their space to the mining company.

Last week, the workers rebelled by demanding employment contracts. The company currently classifies its workers as "seasonal employees".

The Gaza authorities are accused of protecting the atrocities carried out by the Chinese mining company.
