Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation attends SADC Extraordinary Summit

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, is taking part this Saturday in the extraordinary summit of the heads of state and government of the Southern African Development Community (SDAC) in the Angolan capital, Luanda.

The Mozambican diplomat is attending the summit on behalf of the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.

The event, which will be chaired by the Angolan head of state and SADC president-in-office, João Lourenço, will focus on the security situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The meeting will be preceded by the extraordinary troika summit of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defense and Security Cooperation.
