The Central Office for Combating Organized and Transnational Crime (GCCCOT) has opened criminal proceedings against two nationals accused of terrorist crimes in Cabo Delgado province.
The accused were arrested by the police authorities after being caught in March last year, in the town of Mocímboa da Praia, in possession of 885,500 meticais, cell phone cards (SIM) - for use and disposal - recharges and food to supply the insurgents.
According to information in the national press, they are alleged to have committed crimes of financing terrorism, gathering information, membership of a terrorist organization and criminal association.
