Millennium bim brings together more than 1400 children in the 17th edition of the Mini Basketball tournament

Millennium bim junta mais de 1400 crianças na 17.ª edição do torneio Mini Basquete

Millennium bim is bringing together more than 1,400 children aged between 8 and 11 for the 17th edition of the Mini Basketball tournament. The initiative is run in partnership with the Mozambican basketball federation, the Mozambican Mini Basketball Committee and Impar/Fidelidade..

The tournament, which kicked off on Saturday (05), includes children from the cities of Maputo, Matola, Xai-Xai, Inhambane, Nacala, Nampula, Chimoio, Beira, Lichinga, Quelimane, Pemba and Tete, with the aim of encouraging sports and promoting the well-being of future generations.

According to Millennium bim, the initiative, which is part of the "More Mozambique for Me" social responsibility program, also aims to provide an environment of healthy competition and comprehensive training for the participants.

In a statement, Millennium bim said that "in addition to the basketball games, the initiative will include recreational and educational activities, including talks on oral health, road safety and artistic expression, among others, guaranteeing an enriching experience for all the children involved".

For Millennium bim's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Moisés Jorge, Mini Basketball has been a real platform for transformation for thousands of children across the country. "More than a competition, it's an opportunity to foster healthy habits, encourage the practice of sport at a national level and reinforce values such as empathy, solidarity and team spirit," he said.
