Niger's air traffic is now open to passenger and cargo flights, according to international media.
The measure does not apply to flights for military or other special purposes - they still require approval from the competent authorities.
"Nigerian airspace is open to national and international commercial flights," writes the press, attributing the information to the so-called National Council for the Salvation of the Homeland, the same council that closed the space on August 6.
On July 26, the Nigerien military announced the ousting of President Mohamed Bazoum and the closure of the country's borders. At the same time, the Nigerien authorities threatened to kill the former President in the event of external intervention in the country.
Subsequently, the border states of the West African Economic Community (ECOWAS) imposed sanctions on Niger, closed the country's borders and planned an invasion operation to apparently restore constitutional order.
