About 3,000 people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance in Niassa province following the terrorist invasion that has been going on since late last year.
The fact is confirmed by the secretary of state of the province, Dinis Vilanculo. The invasion of terrorists in Niassa province has already resulted in deaths and destruction of infrastructure.
The displaced people, a little more than three thousand, already resent this and lack a little of everything, as the provincial Secretary of State, Dinis Vilanculo reveals.
"Right now they are in the district headquarters of Mecula. This leads us to a rapid response in order to provide humanitarian assistance to our fellow citizens," says the Secretary of State of Niassa province.
Dinis Vilanculo assures that a resettlement plan is already underway.
"We thought we should move the families from the Mecula headquarters to Macassangir, in the Chimbonila district. There is already an airplane available there," Dinis Vilanculo says.
The terrorists have already carried out at least three attacks in Niassa, the neighboring province of Cabo Delgado, in the north of the country, causing the destruction of social and economic infrastructure.
