Max Tonela praises international cooperation of the capital markets

Max Tonela enaltece cooperação internacional dos mercados de capitais

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Ernesto Max Tonela welcomed this morning in Maputo the cooperation between capital markets and stock exchanges at the level of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP). 

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Capital Markets and Stock Exchanges, the governor acknowledged the role of the stock exchange in boosting the economy by offering financing alternatives, creating companies, generating employment, and stabilizing the national financial market.

"I also want to congratulate the three stock markets for the memorandum of understanding signed today for better interaction and exchange of experiences to promote sustainable growth of this market," Tonela was quoted as saying by Domingo newspaper.

As part of this event, the Mozambique Stock Exchange issued certificates of recognition to its national strategic partners, namely the Institute for the Management of State Holdings (IGEPE), the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (IPEME), the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), and the Higher Institute of Accounting and Auditing (ISCAM).
