There have been restrictions on the water supply in neighborhoods in the Greater Maputo Region since the weekend. The scenario complicates the normal course of domestic activities for residents.

According to Notícias, the shortcomings in the water supply also affect part of Maputo city, especially the Central and Polana neighborhoods, where tenants are forced to use tanker trucks to get their supplies.

A note issued by Águas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo confirms the anomalies in the supply system to the cities of Maputo, Matola and Vila de Boane, due to the bad weather experienced in recent days.

This situation, according to the note, damaged some equipment in the company's infrastructure. However, work is underway to normalize the service.
