This Wednesday, the Maputo City Council donated building materials and food to families affected by the severe tropical storm Filipo.
The support, which has been earmarked for the Nhlamankulo Municipal District, aims to minimize the impacts caused by the tropical depression, FILIPO, which destroyed some houses in that municipal district.
The councillor for Women, Social Assistance and the Family, Anabela Inguane, was quoted by Rádio Moçambique as saying that the allocation of food and construction goods is aimed at providing minimum conditions for the families affected by the storm.
According to the councillor, the actions underway will cover all the districts affected by Storm Filipo.
