Semi-collective passenger transporters on the Albazine-Marracuene route halted their activities on Thursday (18) to demand an improvement in the quality of the road on that route.
According to the newspaper SundayThe focus of the protest was the poor state of Avenida Dom Alexandre, which hauliers claim is full of sand washed away by the recent rains in Maputo.
According to the hauliers, the road is causing mechanical problems in the vehicles and, as a result, more than two dozen cars have broken down.
