The municipal town of Namaacha, in Maputo province, will host the second edition of the chicken festival on October 7th.

This is an event organized by the district government, in partnership with the local council and private sector partners, which, according to Revista Terra, is expected to attract more than 5,000 tourists, both domestic and foreign.

Namaacha is one of the largest poultry producers in the country. According to the district authorities, average annual production is 2,300 tons of chickens and 200,000 dozen eggs.
