A public transport bus caught fire while on the move on Monday morning (29), in Praça do Destacamento Feminino, in the city of Maputo.

At the time of the incident, the transport was on its way downtown and dozens of people were in the vehicle. There are no reports of human casualties.

The driver was alerted to smoke from the bus engine, but was unable to prevent the fire.

The fire department was promptly called and managed to prevent any major damage.
