Leonor Mabutana said that as a result of the inspection work, 14 smuggled boxes containing eggs from South Africa were seized at the Fajardo and Malanga markets in Maputo city.
INAE also said that a total of 45,000 chickens have been incinerated across the country since the outbreak of bird flu.
As for possible price speculation due to this ban, INAE guarantees that the prices of products on the markets will be in line during the festive season.
