Total massacre. Eight dead, including a one-year-old child, and six wounded, allegedly at the hands of the Mozambique Republic Police, this morning in market 38, in the city of Chimoio, during demonstrations protesting against the election results.

According to some sources, 21 young people were illegally detained by the police during the demonstration.

The demonstrators, mostly teenagers and young people, burned tires on the road and sang songs in reference to Venâncio Mondlane, the presidential candidate supported by the Podemos party.
