The governor of the province of Manica, Francisca Tomás, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a wood processing plant, located in the village of Mussunza, in the town of Nhambonda, in the district of Gondola..
This project is the responsibility of Global Shenglin Wood Industry CO, LTDA, a Chinese company, which plans to invest approximately 10 million dollars, equivalent to 632 million meticais.
The work is scheduled to be carried out over the next two years, with the expectation of diversifying the local economy, creating new job opportunities for the province's youth and contributing to the country's balance of payments.
The main markets for the wood processed at the new plant will be China, India, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
