Mambas meet their CAN-2025 qualifying opponents today

The Mambas know today, 17.02, the qualifying group for the final phase of the African Nations Championship in Morocco in 2025. The draw for the group stage will take place at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

This way, Mozambique will know which teams it will be playing with in the qualifying phase for the CAN in Morocco, which kicks off next March.

The group stage will be played in September, October and November, with six rounds in each of the 11 groups, where the top two and the host nation will be determined.

Mozambique could be in pot 3 of the draw, along with Guinea-Bissau, due to its position in the African ranking, in 25th place, while Cape Verde and Angola could be in pot 2.

The Mambas are exempt from the qualifying round that will kick off next March, involving the lowest-ranked teams in Africa
