The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malawi, reiterates the commitment of the government of her country to support Mozambique in the fight against terrorism in Cabo Delgado.
Nancy Tembo made this statement on Monday evening, in the city of Lilongwe, at the reception that the high commissioner of Mozambique, Elias Zimba, offered to the diplomatic corps accredited in Malawi, on the occasion of the passage of 47 years of national independence.
According to Nancy Tembo, the Lilongwe government will never abandon Mozambique, because it is a friendly and brotherly country.
In fact, it was in recognition of this brotherhood that Malawi gave the green light for Mozambique to move forward with its candidacy for election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
The minister of foreign affairs of Malawi, greeted the presidents of Mozambique Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and Malawi Lazarus Chakwera, for the re-launch of bilateral relations, something that is already benefiting both peoples.
For his part, the high commissioner of Mozambique in Malawi Elias Zimba considered that the relations between the two countries reached the highest point with the state visits that the two presidents made to Mozambique and Malawi.
