More than 70,000 families have clean water in Machaze

The government of Machaze district, Manica province is investing more than eight million meticals in the opening of 23 water holes that will benefit about 77 thousand families in that locality, said an official source.

According to the director of the district service of planning and infrastructures of Machaze besides the opening of the referred water holes, the transformation of five manual pumps into multipurpose systems is underway, of which two pumps will have a desalinator.

Lucas Filimone, cited by Radio Mozambique, referred that with the conclusion of the works of opening and improvement of the water holes, more than seventy-seven thousand people will start consuming potable water in all administrative posts of the district.
