Mais de 33 mil candidatos concorrem a 16 mil vagas para ingresso na UP

More than 33,000 candidates signed up for the entrance exams to enter the Pedagogical University in Mozambique, for a total of 16,000 places available for the year 2024.

For the Universidade Pedagógica-Maputo (UPM) there are more than 13,000 applicants, compared to 14,000 last year, who have applied for more than 3,000 places, compared to 2,800 last year.

"So we have around 3,000 more vacancies for this year," said Pita Sitoe, coordinator of the Admissions Examinations Committee, who was speaking at a press conference in Maputo to share the preparations for the entrance exams to that higher education institution.

On the list of the most popular courses in the labor regime are Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications (at the Faculty of Engineering), Clinical Psychology, English Language Teaching, Accounting and Auditing, Biology Teaching and Portuguese Language Teaching.

"There isn't much difference in the most popular after-school courses, because the courses are basically the same," said the source, quoted by AIM.

The entrance exams start on Tuesday (16) and end on Friday, divided into two periods, morning and afternoon.

UP also ensures that all conditions are in place to guarantee the safety and comfort of all candidates with visual or physical disabilities.
