Absa Bank Mozambique kicked off the 7th edition of the pan-African program to train young people for the job market - Ready to Work - in Maputo.
To date, more than 10,000 young Mozambicans have been trained since the program began in 2016. The aim of the initiative is to empower them with strategic tools for the transition from academic life to the professional world, as well as promoting the development of interpersonal skills, building communication skills and financial, business and professional skills, which are fundamental for starting their careers.
The program, which you can register for via the link below, allows young Mozambicans aged between 16 and 35, who are graduating from secondary, technical or university education, to have the opportunity to be better prepared to enter the job market.
"We know how important it is to offer quality extracurricular training alternatives for young people, which is why we invest in programs like this and in partnership with specialized companies," said Tânia Oliveira, Marketing and Corporate Relations Director at Absa Bank Mozambique.
"We believe that in order to have a job market with increasingly qualified, robust and strong staff, people need to have the right tools and develop their skills," she added.
Absa Bank remains committed to training young people because it believes that they are not only the future of Mozambique, but of the entire continent.
This year, the aim is for Ready to Work to take place in person in at least 3 provincial capitals and to reach more than 5,000 young people in a hybrid format.
