The MDM's presidential candidate, Lutero Simango, worked yesterday in Murrupula, Alto Molócuè and Milange, where he asked for votes in exchange for better living conditions for the population.
"We're going to liberate civil servants. To be a director, you won't have to belong to a party. Skills will be required of you. In my government, I'm thinking about young people. I'm going to create opportunities for employment, business and a better life," he promised, quoted by the newspaper "O País."
In the health sector, the candidate guarantees that there will be no shortage of medicines for the people. "When my mother goes to the hospital, to the maternity ward, she won't be asked for money to be well looked after. I'm going to put an end to that."
He asked for confidence in himself and his governance project, so that the lives of the people of Murrupula could improve.
"You're lucky enough to live near Malawi. Doesn't the government change there from time to time? So this year it's our turn. We have to change and, to do that, we have to push the reds out of power," he said.
