Coca-Cola's net profit increased 48% in the second quarter of 2021, year-on-year, to 2.2 billion euros, according to the report of accounts sent to the US supervisor and published today on the brand's website.
Net revenue grew 42% to €8.6 billion, and organic revenue increased 37%. In the document posted on Coca-Cola's website the company explains that "revenue growth was driven by continued recovery in markets where uncertainty about pandemic-related economic effects is fading."
Revenue from sales soared by 26%, while money raised from product price changes increased by 11% year-on-year.
"We are better prepared than ever to win in this market and accelerate value creation for our stakeholders," said James Quincey, CEO of the Coca-Cola Company.
The company's investors met today via video conference to discuss the results obtained this quarter.
