Across the country, around 224 private educational institutions sell books free of charge to students' parents and guardians.
The National Inspectorate of Economic Activities (INAE) made this observation at a time when several public schools still don't have the textbooks available.
The institution's spokesman said that the inspection teams were obliged to collect the textbooks that had been purchased improperly and reallocate them to public schools.
Quoted by NewsTomás Timba also said that there are some private schools that teach primary and secondary education illegally and set variable fees without the knowledge of the Ministry of Education and Human Development.
INAE's inspection found numerous schools operating in inadequate spaces, including a lack of hygiene where food is prepared for students.
